From February 26th to the 28th, sixty-eight PRHS DECA students competed against thousands of DECA members from across the state of Colorado demonstrating their marketing knowledge, creativity, and impressive presentation skills. The state competition was held at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, a short distance in comparison to the previous conferences PRHS DECA has attended.
Multiple students advanced to the final round of competition and eight students qualified to attend the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Anaheim, California. Congratulations to the following students who displayed their knowledge of certain areas of business and marketing and will compete in Anaheim from April 26-29th:

Alvin Angeles (12), one of the qualifiers for the ICDC, disclosed that “When they announced our names, Trevin [Terlizzi] and I just looked at each other for five seconds, and then we eventually went up… we were just really surprised and really happy also.” He added that “California is a great location [for the competition]… I’m looking forward to the whole experience and just going there during my senior year.” The eight students who are competing will also make a trip to Disneyland and the beach to round out the trip.
